This will be the year for the Caps and Sharks to silence their critics and shake off their playoff problems. In the end, Ovechkin will raise the Cup and be on a more even plane with Crosby, taking out his Penguins in the Conference Final.

Injjuries will be a factor, but this is the bar I am setting for these players. Higher than expected will be a pleasant surprise, and totals below will be a disappointing season. The 20-24 range will be the most volatile in my predictions, as there are so many I have deemed capable.
